It Will What It Wants - a collection of words

It was a sunny August day in 2014 and I was lying in the grass of a park in Harrow in north west London. Daydreaming, I was contemplating the big changes I could feel were underway. I wrote a few words that I suppose sprung from the feeling I was left with after I'd recently said goodbye to someone I'd cared about. I'm not sure I dare call it a poem. More just a collection of words that needed to escape that day, that for some reason make sense to me. The picture was taken in Apr 2014 in Westport, Ireland.

It Will What It Wants

I

Weightless yet heavy me

looking skyward while, whiling

warm tears roll to grass

earth at my back supporting

blue sky above beckoning

perfect white clouds drifting

blot out the sun momentarily.

II

Hot cold and in an instant gone

love like clouds across a heart

can't make it stay

it will what it wants

let it go, go

make room for more

"I'll see you when I see you"

last words echoing.
